How do you write a recount?

  • A recount is an account of a past incident that you witnessed or experienced. In a recount, you narrate the incident in the order it happened using the past tense.
  • A recount is always written in the first person. You have to use “I”, “My”, “Me” and “Mine” for the person who tells the story.
  • When you write a recount based on a series of pictures, you need to study the pictures in their correct sequence carefully.
